I fall in love with Tianjin peasant paintings at first sight. I started collecting these pieces of art. After studying the paintings, I discovered that these richly detailed and colorful paintings were not only very beautiful, but each one of them told a fascinating and unique story.

In the spring of 1995, I set off from Beijing to Tianjin to conduct my first interviews with the artists. I was very excited, as I had not yet met any of the artists, so I could only guess from their works what they would be like.

When I met them I was fascinated by their life experiences. They spoke naturally and frankly about themselves. They were all proud of their country origins and they were all very proud of their paintings. They felt gratitude for the public acceptance their work had received, especially for the interest among foreign collectors.

Now, I have developed very good relationship with the artists, and really enjoy work together with them for new ideas of paintings and products.

I am from China. Now living in Beijing with my two darling daughters, each of them is as unique, colorful and busy as a painting.
